Starting in January, the Mission will post a video previewing the main events on the UN agenda for the current month. The two-minute podcast will come out every month and will be available on the Mission\u2019s web channels and socials.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Permanent Representative, Ambassador Maurizio Massari, wants to reach the whole Italian public, including International Relations students and the \u201cnon-experts\u201d, for them to learn more and more about the work of the most important international organization in charge with ensuring world peace and security, and safeguarding human rights and sustainable development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the Ambassador\u2019s own words, the goal is to \u201copen the UN headquarters\u2019 door to the Italian public\u201d, and \u201cbridge the gap widened by the restrictions enforced during the pandemic\u201d. Due to such restrictions, tours of the UN Headquarters and in-person internships for students visiting New York have been significantly curtailed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the first episode, the Permanent Representative will focus on the Security Council\u2019s agenda, including the two-year partnership just launched between Italy and Albania within this fundamental organ, and the work ahead for the General Assembly and ECOSOC \u2013 UN\u2019s third most important organ, where Italy just renewed its three-year mandate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This new video podcast will join the podcast launched in 2021 \u201cVoci dal Palazzo di Vetro\u201d (in Italian the UN Headquarters are also referred to as the \u201cGlass Building\u201d), that can be listened to on Spotify and all the major platforms.
