{"id":1563,"date":"2020-11-25T15:37:40","date_gmt":"2020-11-25T14:37:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/italyun.esteri.it\/news\/dalla_rappresentanza\/2020\/11\/25-novembre-giornata-internazionale_0-2\/"},"modified":"2020-11-25T15:37:40","modified_gmt":"2020-11-25T14:37:40","slug":"25-novembre-giornata-internazionale_0-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/italyun.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dalla_rappresentanza\/2020\/11\/25-novembre-giornata-internazionale_0-2\/","title":{"rendered":"25 November: International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Italy rejects any form of discrimination and violence against women and girls, and reiterates its commitment against this unacceptable phenomenon, which is also a serious impediment to attaining gender equality and effective enjoyment of women\u2019s rights.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since this is a priority action in Italy foreign policy, the Foreign Ministry pursues the goal of eliminating all violence against women, both on a diplomatic level and by using the instruments of development cooperation. The numerous international campaigns in which Italy is in the front line &#8211; such as those to eradicate harmful practices against women and girls, including mutilation of feminine genitals and early and forced marriages &#8211; bear witness to this fact.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women 2020, the Foreign Ministry and its network abroad, are adding their voice to the sensitising campaign: \u201cOrange the World: Fund, Respond, Prevent, Collect!\u201d promoted by UN Women, and this year particularly dedicated to the increase in episodes of domestic violence due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown measures adopted by Countries, to slow down infection.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"resource\/img\/2020\/11\/2_orangetheworld.jpg\" alt=\"2 orangetheworld\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/mae\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/comunicati\/2020\/11\/25-novembre-giornata-internazionale-per-l-eliminazione-della-violenza-contro-le-donne_0.html\">Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperatio &#8211; 25 November: International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/60S7zOrB64s\"> International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women &#8211; Amb.
