Regional crises, the fight against violent extremism, development \u2013 with a particular focus on the implementation of the Agenda 2030 \u2013 in addition to the high profile of our Country with respect to the migration phenomenon and the situation in Libya, will be the crucial themes of the meetings with the Permanent Representatives of the African and Arab Group Countries. Minister Gentiloni will also take part in the Joint Committee on the Italy-Pacific Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Partnership, which precedes the Symposium on the Protection of the Oceans and Coastal Areas (Rome, March 7-9).<\/p>\n<p>The Minister will also take part in the seminar \u201cBeyond turmoil: challenges and opportunities in the Mediterranean\u201d at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), one of the world\u2019s top independent foreign policy think tanks.
