Hours of operation:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monday to Thursday, 16 to 19 September 8.30 a.m.\u20134 p.m.<br \/>\nFriday, 20 September 8 a.m.\u20136 p.m.<br \/>\nSaturday and Sunday, 21 and 22 September 8 a.m.\u20135 p.m.<br \/>\nMonday to Wednesday, 23 to 25 September 7 a.m.\u20136 p.m.<br \/>\nThursday and Friday, 26 and 27 September 8 a.m.\u20135 p.m.<br \/>\nSaturday and Sunday, 28 and 29 September Closed<br \/>\nMonday, 30 September 8 a.m.\u20134 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The designated entrance for accredited media is located at 47th Street and First<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Avenue, where media representatives and their equipment will be subject to security<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>screening. All media representatives will be required to present a valid United Nations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>grounds pass to the United Nations security officers at the gate. All media<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>representatives must clearly display their United Nations grounds passes at all times.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Members of the media are advised to arrive early to allow sufficient time for<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>screening. Last-minute arrivals will encounter delays, in particular when First Avenue<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>is closed for motorcades.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Accredited media representatives, including official photographers and<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>videographers, must be escorted by Media Accreditation and Liaison Unit staff at all<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>times in the restricted areas. Escort is available from the Media Accreditation and<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Liaison Unit office (room S-0250) and the following ad hoc liaison desks:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong> Liaison desk on the 3rd floor of the General Assembly Building (accessible via<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>the external ramp from the visitors\u2019 plaza), for access to General Assembly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>media booths, the delegates\u2019 entrance and the treaty-signing area<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong> Liaison desk on the 3rd floor of the Conference Building, for access to the<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Security Council Chamber, the Trusteeship Council Chamber and the Economic<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>and Social Council Chamber<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong> Liaison desk on the 1st floor of the Conference Building, for access to<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Conference Rooms 1 to 4 and the East Lounge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A limited number of tickets will be available for the press gallery of the General<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Assembly Hall and other meetings that require secondary event tickets. These seats<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>are reserved for print media without cameras. Media liaison desk staff will distribute<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>tickets on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes before the meetings. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A temporary media centre will be located on the North Lawn, where accredited<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>media can work, watch and record feeds from select meetings and briefings and<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>connect to the Wi-Fi network (5 GHz). Media representatives are required to bring<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>their own cables to record live video and audio feeds. A feed will provide<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>up-to-date news about the work of the General Assembly in all official languages.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Readers can also subscribe to a free email news alert service that will deliver stories<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>on the latest United Nations developments straight to their mailboxes or desktops.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Daily updates will continue to be provided through the United Nations News social<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>media accounts (Facebook and X (formerly known as Twitter).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Two free smartphone applications are available to enable delegations and the<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>media to follow the proceedings on their mobile phones. The United Nations News<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reader app (for Android and iOS devices in the six official languages, as well as<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hindi, Kiswahili and Portuguese) provides constantly updated multimedia stories<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>from the United Nations News platforms. Users of the app can also watch meetings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>live and link to the daily press briefing of the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>as well as receive news alerts. United Nations Audio Channels (for iOS and Android<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>devices in the six official languages, as well as Kiswahili and Portuguese) provide<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>selected audio from the General Assembly Hall and the Security Council Chamber, in<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>addition to United Nations News audio programmes in eight languages \u2013 the six<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>official languages and Kiswahili and Portuguese.
