ENEL LEADS SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION AT UN, THE INTERVIEW FROM THE “UN VOICES FROM THE GLASS PALACE” PODCAST

New York, March 11, 2022 – In an interview for the Italian Mission for the “UN Voices from the Glass Palace” Podcast, Ernesto Ciorra, ENEL’s Chief Innovability ® Officer, pulls the curtain on ENEL’s plans for an energy transition that is “fair” and for all, to “leave no one behind.”

ENEL is known at the Glass Palace as a member of the Global Compact, which is the United Nations Global Compact that encourages companies around the world to adopt sustainable policies in line with corporate social responsibility and with transparency on the outcomes of the actions undertaken. More than 15,000 companies around the world are members, including more than 400 Italian companies.

But ENEL’s commitment has gone further, and today Italy’s largest energy company is among the four “Global Compact LEAD Companies”- namely the companies with a “leadership” role within the Global Compact Network Italy.

In the podcast episode of the English-language channel “Committed Enterprises,” we discuss the impact of energy transition and electrification on the implementation of the UN Agenda2030 for Sustainable Development and its 17 Goals, as well as on the implementation of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, with a focus on ENEL’s plans at international level.
