New York – On February 10, 2016, the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella paid an official visit to the United Nations. At UN headquarters, the President met with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and with the President of the General Assembly, Mogens Lykketoft.
President Mattarella then headed to the Permanent Mission of Italy, where he met with the Mission’s staff as well as with Italian officials working at the UN.
Always at the Mission, the President then spoke to members of the press.
