New York – On May 25-26, Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni will be in New York to attend a series of high-level meetings. On Wednesday May 25, Minister Gentiloni will chair a meeting with the Permanent Representatives of the Member States from the Eastern European Group. Later, he will attend a meeting with the Permanent Representatives of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
The meetings will then resume on Thursday morning, when Minister Gentiloni will attend a meeting with the Permanent Representatives of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) at the Permanent Mission of Botswana. Later, the Minister will chair a working lunch meeting with Karen AbuZayd, the Secretary-General’s Special Adviser on the Summit on Addressing Large Movements of Refugees and Migrants. Finally, the Minister will chair a meeting with the Permanent Representatives of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
