On 1 February 2021, the competition – “Active Young Citizens for Sustainable Development in CEI and All Areas” was launched at the initiative and with the funding of the General Directorate for EU Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the CEI Central Europe Initiative and the AII Adriatic-Ionian Initiative.
The project aims to encourage activism and engagement of youths on issues relating to sustainable development, awarding the best project ideas submitted by applicant high schools of CEI and/or AII member countries, and inspired by the United Nations 2030 Agenda and the realization of its 17 goals.
Project proposals can be submitted starting 1 February 2021 on the portal of the Executive Secretariat of the CEI.
This Call for Ideas and Award Competition is a concrete implementation of one of the priorities of Italy’s CEI 2019 Presidency, also contained in the Declaration of Trieste adopted on 12 June 2019 by the CEI Ministers of Foreign Affairs on the adoption of the “Youth Agenda” and the realization of initiatives promoting their active engagement in regional cooperation.
