The Permanent Mission launches the initiative UNIT&

UNITE

UNIT& is a project promoted by the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations in New York to highlight the contribution of individuals, professionals, civil society leaders, institutional representatives, and organizations to strengthening the ties between Italy, the United Nations, and the UN membership.

The project consists of a series of meetings that provide a forum for exchange and reflection on the professional and personal experiences that shape Italy’s activities within the UN and can serve as inspiration for further initiatives aimed at strengthening international cooperation on issues of peace, sustainable development, and global governance.

The core elements of UNIT& include:

Discuss International Issues

The initiative aims to gather the perspectives of qualified experts and analysts on current issues of global significance that are relevant to Italy and the UN’s sphere of action: geopolitical, economic, and social issues related to development cooperation, social innovation, and civic engagement.

Showcase Excellence

The format aims to showcase the work and commitment of individuals and organizations that bring prestige to Italy’s contribution to the United Nations, actively promoting the Organization’s fundamental values.

A Bridge Between Italy and the International Community

UNIT& aims to serve as a bridge between Italy and the United Nations international community, fostering dialogue and the sharing of experiences and perspectives among actors operating at the national and global levels. The project calls for the active involvement of the UN system’s membership—including agencies, offices, and the Secretariat.

Interactive Format

UNIT& consists of a series of conversations and meetings that bring together representatives from Italy and the UN system to discuss current issues with global significance. The events take place in a dynamic and interactive format, open to contributions from everyone.
